Ciao. My name is Cristina and I am a licensed local guide. I've been working in tourism field for the past 20 years. I started when I was 20 years old as a tour director leading groups around Italy and Europe. Traveling to many countries with big and small groups has been good training for learning how to make everything run smoothly and enjoyable, how to solve problems and deal with inconveniences and of course, how to avoid the tourist traps.
This is one of the reasons why I decided to became a local guide. Being born and raised here, I grew up hearing stories and anecdotes. I saw some derelict buildings, when I was a kid, that had been damaged in WWII. As a young student, I followed the redevelopment of the city in 1992 for the Columbus International Expo. I have experienced the 3 big events involving Genova: the G8 Summit in 2001, the Genova European Capital of Culture in 2004, and the Strade Nuove and i Palazzi dei Rolli Unesco World Heritage Site in 2006 as a tourist guide. It would be a pleasure to share this knowledge, my personal memories and background stories with you.
I am aware that most of you haven't been to Genova or the Italian Riviera before and I know that you will want to explore this part of Italy through my tours. Being part of your travel memories is a great responsibility for me. My goal is to create an unforgettable experience for you based on your interests and passions. For this reason you'll be involved with me in the planning of your customized tour, a perfect puzzle made of authentic moments to bring back home as a souvenir.
